Creating a New Campaign
From the Overview, click “Promote items” (or “Create campaign” if available in navigation).
You’ll enter the campaign creation flow, which usually has these steps:
- Name your campaign
- Choose which items to promote
- Choose which available listing pages your ads will appear
- Set your bid
- Set your daily budget
- Review and launch
Step 1 – Name Your Campaign and Choose Your Start Date
Enter a campaign name that makes sense to you.
- Examples: “Holiday Paintings 2025”, “Abstract New Releases”, “Top Sellers – Q1”.
- This name is for your reference in the dashboard; it doesn’t appear to buyers.
Choose the start date of your campaign. The default setting is to start the campaign ASAP. Optionally, you can choose an end date for your campaign.
Step 2 – Choose Items to Promote
You’ll see a list/grid of your available items:
- Select individual artworks you want to promote or click include all eligible items if you want full coverage.
→ Tip: Each individual artwork has metrics on the columns next to it. Hover over the metric names to understand more about what it represents.
Step 3 – Choose Where Your Promoted Items Get Displayed
Choose from either all applicable browse pages, or specific categories/sections such as Abstract Paintings.
→ Tip #1: Similarly, next to each page available to target, you can see metrics to help you make informed decisions. You can learn more about the metric by hovering over its name.
→ Tip #2: Think about your goal for the sponsored listing campaign. Who do you intend to reach? Do you want to reach as many people as possible by listing on the main Paintings page or reach a very targeted group in Abstract Paintings?
Step 4 – Set Your Bid Amount (Cost‑Per‑Click)
Enter the amount you’re willing to pay per click (CPC). The interface shows:
- Minimum bid: the lowest allowed amount per click.
- Recommended bid: optional guideline for staying competitive.
Hover over the info icon/tooltip for:
- An explanation of what a bid is.
- How the minimum and recommended bids are determined.
Practical guidance:
- Start lower than the recommended bid and adjust later based on results.
→ Tip: You can customize your CPC Bid for each browse pages that you are targeting
Step 5 – Set Your Daily Budget
On the final review step, you’ll see:
- Number of items selected
- Number of browse pages targeted
- Campaign start date (typically “start as soon as possible”)
→ Tip: this campaign start date is modifiable in the first step, just below Campaign Name
→ Note: by default, there is no end date; your campaign runs until you pause it or submit a specific end date
Enter your daily budget:
- This is the maximum amount you’re willing to spend per day.
- The system will not charge more than this daily limit.
Step 6 – Review & Launch
Double‑check:
- Campaign name
- Selected items
- Targeting/display settings
- CPC bid
- Daily budget
Confirm and launch the campaign. Your ads begin serving once the campaign is active and approved by the system.
After Launch: Monitoring Performance
Once your campaign has run for a bit, revisit:
Overview page:
- Changes from estimated uplift to show your current performance over the last 30 days.
- Includes both organic and sponsored performance when you have active campaigns.
Campaigns tab:
- List of all your campaigns and their status.
Analytics tab:
- Detailed performance by campaign and metric (impressions, clicks, favorites, etc.).
Use the metrics to:
- See which artworks attract the most engagement (favorites, clicks, add to carts/offers).
- Decide whether to:
- Adjust bids,
- Increase/decrease daily budgets,
- Pause underperforming campaigns,
- Add/remove items.
Managing Existing Campaigns
Pause or resume campaigns from the Campaigns tab if you want to stop or restart spending.
Edit campaign settings (where supported), such as:
- Daily budget
- Bids
- Campaign status
→ Note: once you are promoting all eligible items, the “Promote items” call‑to‑action on the Overview page will disappear, and the view will focus on performance instead of uplift.
