Introducing: Location-Based Prices for Saatchi Art Collectors
In an effort to make our pricing more accurate and best reflect variable shipping costs to different countries, Saatchi Art localized the website for each supported destination country. This means that collectors shopping from different countries might see different total prices, depending on their geographical location. For example, the same artwork priced by an Italian artist at $1000 USD will be listed for sale at $1100 in the US, $1025 in Italy, $1200 in Australia, and $1050 in both Germany and France.
This price variability will not affect your commission as your commission is based on your listed artwork price excluding shipping rates.
How should I price my artwork in the future?
We suggest reviewing and optimizing your prices for the United States collectors, since that’s where most of our collectors are located and the US price is most likely the price you will sell your artwork for. Moving forward, when pricing your art, we recommend that you provide the most competitive price for the US collectors, while making sure it is the price you are satisfied with.
Will the price of Open Edition prints be different?
No. Open Edition print prices do not include shipping, and therefore the shipping cost is calculated at checkout.
What prices do I see in Studio?
All prices in Studio will be the artist-provided price, e.g. the price before the added shipping cost.
Where can I see prices that will be listed in all countries?
You can preview a price for each country on step 3 of the artwork upload process. Click ‘Edit’ artwork in Studio, go to step 3 ‘Price & Details -> Price -> select a destination country from the drop down list.
How is the shipping cost calculated?
The shipping cost of your artwork is calculated based on the shipping origin country, shipping destination country, and size of your artwork.
